Equipment List

Red Group

All Red Group swimmers will need to purchase a pair of swim fins.  The best place to get these is Pannell Swim Shop.  They have the right kind and style (long swim fin) that we use with our swimmers.    The Speedo rubber swim fins are the most comfortable.  Fins are an excellent piece of training equipment.  We use them to help the swimmer maintain good body position so that we can teach proper stroke technique.  Without the use of fins, many new swimmers spend much of their energy just trying to stay afloat.  Fins also help train the muscle properly as well as forces the swimmers to point their toes as they kick. We will use them each day in practice, so please make sure your swimmer has theirs with them each day.   Each swimmer will need to bring their own suit, fins, goggles, cap(optional) and towel to every practice.  Caps are not required, but all girls will need to either wear a cap or have their hair pulled back in a pony tail.

White and Blue Group

White I swimmers will use fins as described above.  We will have some fins available to borrow, but to ensure you have a set when needed, it is suggested that you purchase a pair at Pannell Swim Shop.  White and Blue Group swimmers will also use kickboards and pull buoys.  Both of these pieces of equipment are provided at Falling Springs.  However, if you want to have your own, you may purchase those at Pannell Swim Shop.   Each swimmer will need to bring their own suit, fins, goggles, cap(optional) and towel to every practice.  Caps are not required, but all girls will need to either wear a cap or have their hair pulled back in a pony tail.
